Antique Meiji-Period Japanese Bronze Monkey Shakudo vase attrib. Genryusai Seiya

  
A large b ronze mixed metal vase, of slender tapering form. Attributed to the workshop of Genryusai Seiya , Meiji Period C.

1868 - 1912, late 19th century. The vase superbly sculpted with three Monkeys nestled on boulders above a lake, their eyes applied in gold, with a silver moon reflection in the water. The base has been re-soldered previously.
