Description: Here is a great piece of Meiji Era bronze work. Many of the artisans who had previously worked in producing armor for Samurai started applying their metal working skills to pieces of decorative art and this is just such an example. I picked this up at an estate sale here in New Hampshire. It features a center base disc that is decorated with a floral scene with a songbird in flight there is an artist chop mark in the lower right side of the design.

The rest of the plate was made by weaving many bronze wires into a pleasing design that was made to resemble rattan or wickerwork. It has nice patina going for it from hanging from the cord on the rear of the plate on the same wall for many, many years as you can see in my pics. Please check out all of my photos as they are the best way to check color and condition for yourself. The plate measures around 9 in diameter. Keep Coming back to see what the relicseeker has to offer.

I travel all around New Hampshire, Vermont, and Northern Massachusetts scouting out places for hidden gems. I have a good eye for what people want and there are plenty of places for me to ferret out antiques and collectible from yesterday and a few gems that will become the antiques of tomorrow. I try to take detailed pictures of my items but cannot capture every detail. I often get pieces in box lots with items I do collect and then sell off the other treasures I find to those who will surely appreciate them. All sales are final and "as is, as seen" unless you receive an item that was not in the pictures in this listing.
